Generally a good book

This book has a lot of basic stuff in it. It is rather easy to read and simplistic. It is a good introductory kinetics book, but be prepared to take advantage of other resources in order to accomplish your kinetics task. Not necessarily a great reference book for your graduate studies.

Kinetics for mature, sensible adults. Eye protection required.

As a medicinal chemist and enzymologist I found this book to be not to my taste. Very little attention is devoted to Michaelis Mentin and the steady state approximation. Nor is very much attention paid to the organic chemistry of the rate laws of organic reactions.

But I suppose this is necessary. This is a general text on kinetics and in that regard it is a very good one. For starters it's small, making it easy to carry. This compactness of size leads to a corollary compactness in language. It's brevity makes difficult concepts a little easier to understand because they aren't smothered in endless confusing verbiage and examples.

With the knowledge comprised here you should be prepared to utilize kinetics in almost all circumstances. However, for specific functions, such as enzymology, a more specific book on the subject is recommended.

Espenson's book is ok. It's a little difficult to read at times, but covers the basics fairly well. More references would be useful. A good introductory book.

A Delightful Surprise!

This was my first time to read Ms Bryce's work and I was delightfully surprised! This is not a typical romance. Instead it is a wonderful adventure between an author and her main character. The main character that will not just tell her, the author, his story since she wasn't listening anyway, but has her experience his story first-hand. And, of course, she mucks things up a bit for him. There is a bit of time-travel, great spankings scenes, and no sex. Just fun and humorous!

I will certainly read more by Ms Bryce!

Who said hearing voices was bad?

Daisy has never really experienced writer's block but when she does, it is as if she's hit a brick wall. Not only is her publisher threatening to drop her, not a single trick of the past is working. Faced with an impossible deadline, she sits before her laptop staring at the entire manuscript which consists of nine words. After overindulging in port, she awakens to find a man dressed in clothing fashionable two hundred years in the past. He informs her that he has been talking to her for the past six months but she has stubbornly refused to listen. Playing along seems safe until the Victorian Lord tips her across his lap and she experiencing more than simply 'waiting for her characters to speak'. Will William be able to teach her that listening isn't truly the most important thing? Ms. Bryce weaves an interesting tale of the creative process an author deals with every time they sit before that blank computer screen. I found myself wishing that I could open my eyes and walk among those people in a different era as well. I wish the book had been longer but I suppose that is what every reader feels when the last words are read in a good book – we never want it to end.

Another Home Run!!

Ms. Bryce has done it again! Only this time it's a completely different setting and feeling and I LOVE IT!! I literally laughed so hard my husband was looking at me like something was wrong with me. I am often nervous when I find an author with a series that I adore that something outside of that world will not work, but Ms. Bryce DEFINITELY proved me wrong. This story is creative, amusing, titillating (I had to go look up spanking terms - yummy!), well said, and just incredibly well done. I am proud to be able to give this work 5 stars and say THANK YOU BELLA BRYCE!

I have bought EVERY book Ms. Bryce has ever published and never EVER been sad I did so!!
